The CDA Chess Club is hosting its annual January New Beginnings Tournament, an exciting three-week event designed for players of all skill levels to gather, compete, and grow. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or picking up the pieces for the first time, this tournament is the perfect way to begin a year of strategic thinking and community connection.

  • What: New Beginnings Ladder Tournament – two games each evening over three weeks
  • Where: Riverstone McDonald's, 1325 W Riverstone Dr, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814
  • When: 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 13, and 20
  • Format: Each evening includes a 20-minute game followed by a 30-minute game, with results impacting ladder ratings and positions
  • Who: Open to all chess players, regardless of skill levels
