How to Sign Up

Signing up for the Beginners Chess Club is quick and easy! Visit our 'Join Our Club' page and complete the short registration form. Don’t miss this chance to join our thriving community of chess enthusiasts.

We meet every Thursday evening from 6:30 PM to 8 PM at the Post Falls Burger King, located at 2926 E Mullan Ave, Post Falls, ID 83854. There is plenty of parking and food available.

Donations Requested

While our club strives to remain as accessible as possible, we kindly request a small monthly donation of $20 to help cover the costs of chess materials and other club activities. These contributions go a long way in keeping the club running smoothly and creating a welcoming space for everyone.

Our Goals

The Beginners Chess Club is dedicated to fostering a love for chess in an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere. Our primary goals are:

  • Teaching fundamentals of chess strategy, tactics, and etiquette.
  • Helping members grow their confidence in gameplay and decision-making.

William Dolson-Andrew The November 9th Starbucks Chess Tournament proved once again to be a remarkable occasion, filled with intense competition and strategic brilliance. Hosted in the cozy setting of Starbucks on Ironwood, the event showcased the talent and skill of chess enthusiasts from various regions. We extend our hearty congratulations to William Dolson-Andrew from St. Maries, Idaho, who clinched the first place award with his impressive gameplay.   Our recent North Idaho Scholastic Chess League tournament at the Hayden Public Library was a remarkable showcase of talent and strategic prowess. On November 20th, twelve dedicated players gathered to compete in a classic "Quad" round-robin format, demonstrating exceptional skills and strategic depth. Congratulations are in order for Payton Akers, Serena Grace, and Logan Davis, each of whom emerged victorious in their respective groups with an impressive streak of three consecutive wins.
